Ever since I was a little girl I have loved playing sports and staying active. I started playing travel softball when I was ten years old and I played year round until I graduated high school. Unfortunately, during my high school career I ended up with multiple knee injuries. Later in life I was diagnosed with hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) which is a neuromuscular genetic condition. The nerves that are affected by this are the ones that "talk" to the legs, messing up the communication from the brain to the leg muscles. I have spent a lot of time doing physical therapy and understanding the importance of staying active and finding ways to continue building strong regardless to my condition. Lifting weights while encouraging others to push themselves is my passion! I love having a community of people who choose to be healthy and stay active together! They become your gym family! Coaching fitness and providing nutrition plans is incredibly rewarding! One thing I love about UA is that it doesn’t matter you’re 5 or 50 years old we have workouts for everyone!Â
